NEW WEBSITE LAUNCHED- Thank you so much to Dave Lister and Jenny Kelley. Jenny painstakingly designed our entire brand and built it into a beautiful site. From there, Dave Lister transformed it, taking us technologically speaking, to a new level. Each member of the team will have a username and password to access the member-only portion of the site, while visitors and supporters will be able to read about accomplishments and more. More information will be forthcoming but please check in periodically (or use the RSS feed) to stay apprised of our latest news. We are still putting the finishing touches on it, including a beautiful flash of pictures of the team athletes. Check it out at www.gomamagoteam.com and be sure to thank Jenny and Dave for their hard work.

USAT TEAM GROWTH
- In the remainder of the year, we may be slowing athletically, but the team activity will pick up. In the next few weeks, I will be calling for nominations to the team board for officers (3) and directors (3). Officers of the board will handle meetings, finances and membership issues. Directors will oversee events, newsletter and fundraising. The team will have a monthly newsletter, regular social events, monthly rides year round, and events to raise money for the team fund. All annual team dues will be paid in January of the new year. These fees will be put into a team account that will be cultivated and monitored by the board. Funds will be raised to help pay for our travel, lodging and expenses and whatever the board deems acceptable. The team will continue to be a separate arm of the training programs and the coaching program – though participants of the coached programs will be discounted in their team membership. For more information on exactly what the team membership entails, visit our website at www.gomamagoteam.com under “Team”.

BLUE COMPETITION BIKE ORDER- For those of you planning on ordering a Blue Bike from The Bicycle Connection, please have your fitting and bike order placed by the end of the weekend. Bikes will be ordered the morning of Monday, July 28. There will be a fee for bike build that will also be paid to The Bicycle Connection. For more information on Blue Bicycles and Blue Bicycle Pricing, please visit our chat board files section. We order the bikes in quanities to save on shipping costs, so the next order will be in the next few months. PLEASE REMEMBER, Blue is our Sponsor – if you are able to afford a bike ranging in price from $1300 to $3500, please purchase BLUE. Otherwise, you can consult Matt Clifton for a suitable bike of lesser value. YOU MUST BE A TEAM MEMBER TO RECIEVE OUR SPECIAL PRICING!  That said, you may purchase a bike for an immediate relative.

2009 TRAINING PROGRAM PRICING-
Training programs for 2009 have been published. And we have great news -- instead of the lump sum fee for 12-week training, you will be able to pay monthly. The fee for duathletes/runners has not changed and will $50 a month. The fee for triathletes has been adjusted to account for the pool time coaching twice a week. This fee is $65 a month. Coaching will run March through October and you can select to do as many months as you would like. Your program will run on a month to month basis. Each athlete will still meet with the coach in the beginning of the season to determine the appropriate training plan length, goals and etc.  If you are a coached program athlete, your team membership will be discounted to $35 for the year. Written programs (including the Annual Training Plan) are still available at the same costs as 2008 and available for men and women. For more information, visit our website at www.gomamagoteam.com under “Training programs”.

2009 BABYSITTER PROGRAM- The team board will be discussing the idea of hiring a babysitter to attend various practices to alleviate some issues for moms-in-training. Using the schedule we currently have, please identify whether you would be interested in a babysitter program. We are investigating various avenues of sitting whether it be on-site only or in-home sitting. Please let me know your interest at info@gomamagoteam.com.

UNIFORM ORDER
- Our uniforms are absolutely beautiful!! You can find the file on our chat room under files “uniforms”. You will not want to miss out. The team will be ordering their uniforms in the next week or so. Typically, a team jersey alone runs upwards of $65, so our sponsorship dollars definitely helped us save a bundle. AND we are still receiving sponsorship so pricing could still change (for the better) but at this time pricing is as follows:

Cycling jersey & shorts         $80
Racing singlet                        $45

We are still waiting to get exact measurements for the uniforms. As soon as we have them, we will post to the chat board and website. BUY NOW because next years pricing will not be guaranteed at the same discount. You will need to pre-order your uniforms which means payment up front so that we can place the order. At that time, they should take 6-8 weeks .

COACING AVAILABILITY- Finally, it is always my goal to be here for you when you need a shoulder, a boost or some positive self-talk. That said, I wouldn’t be setting a good example for you athletes if I didn’t live by my own rules. Though I am lucky to pursue and live my dream of coaching you wonderful ladies, it is also (like many of you) my side job. Therefore, please note, you are free to call me whenever or email me whenever, but I will not return calls or emails on Tuesdays or Thursdays. I am also not regularly available on the weekends outside of the times that I am coaching. If you would like to arrange a phone conference, we can easily do so, or you can reach me during my office hours which are as follows:

Monday & Wednesday         9-5 pm
Friday                                     1-4 pm

As always, feel free to grab me at any practice. AND PLEASE, should you have questions, comments or concerns, bring them to my attention first and foremost.
